Welcome to Doko Farm in South Carolina! We are conveniently located off Hwy 21 /
I-77 between Blythewood and Ridgeway. Downtown Columbia is merely 30 minutes away,
Charlotte about an hour.
Our boarder's horses live with our own in the two barns attached to our house. Besides
the use of the stables, our boarders have the privilege of riding on any of our two
rings or 50+ acres. The larger riding area can accommodate two full size dressage
arenas and is equipped with 40 ft of mirrors.
We are in the process of moving our stadium jumping training area after planting
new grass. We feed only the best food and hay, and have good working relations with
excellent farriers and vets.
Boarding horses is a rather small part of our services. As a professional equestrian,
Holly offers dressage and jumping lessons. She often takes groups training on cross-country
schooling clinics off-site and participates in fox-hunting when ever her schedule
allows. Having worked as a vet tech in small and large animal clinics (incl. The
Marion DuPont Scott Veterinary Hospital in VA), Holly is very familiar with equine
medicine and animal husbandry. Coming from an eventing background, she has worked
with all types of horses. With a successful record in breeding and training, Holly
has experienced training all levels of horses. In purchasing and selling, she always
focuses on finding the right match for rider and horse. As a pony clubber, she naturally
remains closely involved with the Palmetto Pony Club where she helps many young people
fall in love with her favorite sport.
Access to Doko Farm is by appointment only. We do not have horses suitable for beginners,
therefore we do not offer public riding lessons. Ultimately we cater to the needs
of horse owners and established riders, helping them advance their riding skills
through our services and facilities.
